Final Fantasy. The series has been going along as long as Zelda and Mario, and longer than Sonic and Master Chief. The series that deals with topics of life and death. Whether’s it’s on one cartridge, or four disks, the game demands hours upon hours of play of turn-based combat. With many hours of interactive storytelling, many characters have walked down the beaten path of defeating evil, and learning of the meaning of life.
On August 24th, 2006, Pluto was demoted as a planet in the solar system. Since then, the dwarf planet has been plotting and scheming to get revenge on the planet that ruined it’s reputation, Earth. In February 1991, an N.E.S. game called Metal Storm predicted that it takes almost 500 years to execute this revenge. The planning stage is the longest, it seems.
A lot of people have asked me where the hell I got a word like Septicor and used it as my user name. Is it a code word? Is it another language? Homage to the number seven? Or homage to a villain from Final Fantasy 7? Or an anagram of my real name? Is it a product for cleaning drains? (get it? septic?) The answer of course is No. To all of them. Including a septic one. Especially the septic one.
Happy New Year! 2011 comes and goes, and left more of a lasting impression than any other year. More people were met, more accomplishments successful, and more upcoming tasks expecting.
Well, 2011 comes to a close. And with that, we look back at some of the highlights in movies and video games. It was definitely a year of entertaining, and entertained we were.
